Another post from ultra, Newbies must read...
I know some of us dnt have maxa vga cards and good connection so they cant attain good FPS which is important for CQC (close quarter combat). So i did some findings and peaks here and there to look into the subject to find some solution. Hope this would help yall.
In your config u ll find these commands. If u dnt u can add them. If u do u can modify them to get the best u want.
These will affect your graphics quality but give u better fps. It s a compromise. U can stay in the middle ground or w/e u decide.
//Level of detail of static objects (-1000=better to 0=lowest)
seta r_lodbiasrigid "0"
//Level of detail of skinned objects (-1000=better to 0=lowest)
seta r_lodbiasskinned "0"
//Level of detail of static objects (1=best to 4=worst)
seta r_lodscalerigid "4"
//Level of detail of skinned objects (1=best to 4=worst)
seta r_lodscaleskinned "4"
Changes to the basic client settings can produce FPS boosts. Some of these are shown below:
seta ai_corpseCount 0
seta cg_blood "0"
seta cg_brass "0"
seta fx_marks "0"
seta r_aaAlpha 0
seta r_aaSamples 1
seta r_drawwater 0
seta r_fastskin 1
seta r_lodscalerigid "1" VS seta r_lodscalerigid "4" ~10%
seta r_lodbiasrigid "-1000" VS seta r_lodbiasrigid "0" ~30%
seta r_rendererpreference "shader model 2.0"
seta r_texFilterMipMode "Force Bilinear"
seta r_zfeather 0
You can boost ur FPS by minimum 30 by doing the following. Shoot me if it doesnt work ;)
Model Detail "LOW"
Dinamic Lights "OFF"
Smoke Smoothing "OFF"
If u cant see shit just try only shadows disabled. It will boost ur fps by 25% itself.
